The transitions unit is the only one of its kind in the area. This unit is intended for the Baby Boomers. The intent of the unit is to be that of clinical therapy.
People who have extensive orthopedic surgery that can be released from the hospital, but are not ready to be living on their own, would come to this unit and begin rehabilitation that would allow them to begin the “transition” back into their everyday lives (approx. 30 day stays). This is the first prototype “Transitions Unit” for HMR and they are looking forward to doing the same
kind of work to other existing facilities in the near future.
